It is not a load-bearing wall that can hang a TV, but it is not allowed to hang a TV that is too heavy. If it is a large LCD TV, we’d better hang it on the load-bearing wall. Because the load-bearing wall plays a role in supporting the wall in the house, its load-bearing capacity is much better than the non load-bearing wall.
What are the precautions for hanging TV on the wall?
Accurately position the installation position of the flat panel TV on the installation surface, ensure the positioning accuracy, and fix the hanger part of the installation surface.
For general flat panel TVs, the heat dissipation grid is usually designed at the back or side back. Therefore, a space for ventilation and heat dissipation is required at the back of the TV and at the top, bottom, left and right sides. The distance between the wall mounted TV and the wall should be at least 15cm.
Since the various interfaces of the TV are basically arranged on the back, the various data lines cannot be too bent against the wall, otherwise it is easy to be damaged.
The installation process shall be careful. The whole machine shall be handled with care, and bedding shall be prepared to prevent scratching the display screen.
Install the rack according to the requirements of the installation manual.
If the display screen is connected to the speaker and mounting bracket, it should be distinguished between left and right, front and back.
If it is necessary to connect the speaker cable, pay attention to the positive and negative polarity of the speaker cable to prevent the sound of the left and right channels from inverting.
After the display screen is hung up, it needs to be measured with a level ruler. Adjust the bracket screws to make the display screen completely horizontal. The translation error of the whole machine position of the flat screen TV installation should be less than 1cm, and the left and right tilt error should be less than 1 degree.
How to judge load-bearing wall and non load-bearing wall?
From the house type diagram: generally, the black bold solid line marked on the house type diagram indicates that the wall is a load-bearing wall, while the black hollow line or black thin solid line indicates a non load-bearing wall. The specific situation is subject to the notes on the house type diagram.
From the wall thickness, the thickness of non bearing walls is relatively thin, usually only about 12 cm, while the thickness of bearing walls is generally relatively thick, at least 24 cm. Users can determine whether a bearing wall is a bearing wall by measuring the thickness of the wall.
From the perspective of structural types, there are many types of buildings. If the building is of brick concrete structure, all walls are load-bearing walls. If the building is of frame structure, only the exterior wall of the room is generally load-bearing walls, and others are non load-bearing walls. The specific situation shall prevail.
Judging from the knocking sound: because the load-bearing walls are generally thick and made of solid bricks, you can use a small hammer to knock the wall gently when judging. If the sound is crisp and there is echo, it means that the wall is a non load-bearing wall. If the sound is stuffy, it means that the wall is likely to be a load-bearing wall. This method is difficult for non professionals. It is recommended to knock more walls for comparison.
