Uconnect is an infotainment system and mobile app found in vehicles made by Chrysler, Fiat, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. Uconnect controls your audio, navigation, and ability to connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth. This minHour teaches you how to register to the Uconnect system using the web.
Steps
Touch the Uconnect Apps button on your car’s touchscreen.
This icon looks like a “U” with curved lines over it that you’ll find in the bottom center of the touchscreen.
- You’ll need to be able to use the web to fill out a registration form or call a Uconnect agent to complete your registration.
Tap Start (if you haven’t opened this app before).
You’ll then be walked through the process of registering your car with Uconnect.
- If you have opened the app before and declined to register, you can start the process again by scrolling down and tapping Uconnect Registration (next to an icon of a clipboard).
Select Register by Web.
You’ll need a computer or smartphone with internet access to continue.
- If you don’t have access to the web to continue, you can tap “Register By Phone” instead. Then, call the phone number on the screen to complete the registration process.
Enter your email address and select OK.
Your email will be displayed on the next page. Make sure it’s correct, then tap to continue. If it is incorrect, tap and you’ll be directed back to the previous screen. You’ll see a message on the touchscreen that lets you know that an email has been sent to that address.
Open the email on your computer, phone, or tablet.
As long as you have internet access, you can continue this process. You don’t have to stay in your car for the rest of these steps.
Click or tap Click to Continue Registration in the email.
You’ll see this large blue button at the top of the email.
Fill out the registration form.
You’ll need to enter information such as your Uconnect username, password, and Uconnect security PIN.
Tap Submit.
You’ll see either , , or in the bottom right corner of your screen, under the fields you just filled out.
- You can then download the Uconnect app from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone/iPad) and sign in with your Uconnect username and password.
