This minHour teaches you how to view and read ebook files with a MOBI format extension, using the FBReader app on your PC or Mac.
Install FBReader on your computer.
FBReader is a free MOBI reader that’s easy to install on Windows and macOS.
You can use this app to read any MOBI file. Here’s how to download it:
- Go to https://fbreader.org in your web browser.
- If you’re using a Mac, click Download on the App Store and follow the on-screen instructions.
- On Windows, click Get it from Microsoft and follow the on-screen instructions.
Open FBReader.
Now that FBReader is installed, you’ll find it in your app list.
If you’re using Windows, it’ll be in your Start menu. On a Mac, you’ll find it in the Applications folder and on the Launchpad.
Click the Add File to Library icon.
You’ll see this plus sign icon in the upper-left corner of FBReader.
It will open a pop-up window, and allow you to select an ebook to add.
Select your MOBI file and click “OK.”
This will open the Book Info settings in a new pop-up window.
This window allows you to set your preferences before importing the ebook.
Choose your preferences and click “OK.”
Select your language, title, encoding, and other preferences before clicking OK.
This will add the selected Mobi file to your FBReader library and open the ebook.
