Done with Walmart.com? You can delete your account to prevent hackers from using it fraudulently. All you need is the email address associated with your Walmart account, the password, and the billing address on file. Once you provide the necessary information to a Walmart customer service representative, they'll delete your account permanently. Steps
Go to https://www.walmart.com and log in.
You’ll need to use a desktop browser to do this.
Click your profile icon.
It’s in the top right corner of the page and is usually your full name.
Click Account.
This will take you to your account page.
Click Help.
You’ll find this under the “Customer Service” header in the panel on the left side of the page.
Click Contact us.
It’s under the “Didn’t find what you were looking for?” header on the left side of the page.
- A chat window will pop up in the lower right corner of your browser window. It’s an automated help robot that you can chat with.
Enter “I want to delete my account” into the chat.
This will prompt the automated help to offer you two options:
- to learn about editing your account or
- to choose “It’s something else” to be connected with an agent.
Click It’s something else.
You’ll see options for continuing along with your estimated wait times:
- Start chat
- Email me
- Call me
Click an option to continue.
Regardless of the method you chose, you will need some pieces of information to continue including the email address, password, and a phone number associated with the Walmart account.
- If you’ve forgotten the password for the account, simply click the Forgot Password? link to reset it via your email. If the email is unavailable, you, unfortunately, cannot continue.
Express your desire to delete the account.
Once on the phone, chatting, or emailing an agent, tell them that you want to close your account. Give them the information that you gathered if/when they ask for it.
- They will warn you that you cannot log in with that account or continue making purchases with that account once it’s closed.
- If you provided the correct information, that account will be deleted!

Tips
- There is no easier way to delete your account, sadly. You’ll need to make sure you have all the required information to access the account and close it.
- If you have an active Walmart+ subscription, make sure you cancel that before you delete your account. Go to your account page, then Walmart+ > Manage Plan > Cancel Walmart+.
