3 Easy Ways to Install the Peacock TV App on Your Fire Stick

Using Alexa

Press and hold the Alexa button on your Fire Stick remote.

While holding down the Alexa button, say, “Alexa, open Peacock.”

Select Search.

It’s the first tile in the list.

Search for Peacock.

Start spelling Peacock using the on-screen keyboard. After you’ve entered the first several letters, you will see Peacock as one of the search results.

Select Peacock TV from the search results.

Getting Peacock Outside the US

Sign up for a VPN service that supports Amazon Fire Stick.

If you’re not in the United States and want to install Peacock on a Fire Stick, you’ll need to use a VPN service that can change your location to the US. This will allow you to sideload a version of the the Peacock TV app and watch anywhere in the world.

  • When choosing a VPN service, make sure to select one that has a Fire Stick app. Some popular services that will work on your Fire Stick are Surfshark, CyberGhost, PureVPN, NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Hotspot Shield VPN, and IPVanish VPN.
  • While these services aren’t free, they don’t cost much, and you can even use them to browse anonymously from your computer, phone, or tablet in addition to using it for Peacock on your Fire Stick.
  • Once you sign up for a VPN service, follow the service’s instructions for installing the software on your Fire Stick.

  • Select the orange Downloader tile. This takes you to the download page and highlights the Download link.
  • Press the center button (Select) on your remote to start the download. This downloads the Downloader app onto your Fire Stick and adds it to your app list.

Press the center button (Select) to open Downloader.

The first time you open Downloader, you’ll need to give it permission to access your files. Select when prompted, and then choose to continue.

Allow app installs from unknown sources.

Before you can sideload Peacock from Downloader, you’ll need to allow app installations the Downloads app. Here’s how:

  • Press the Home button on your Fire Stick remote.
  • Choose the gear icon (Settings) on the upper-right side.
  • Select My Fire TV.
  • Select Developer options.
  • Select Install unknown apps.
  • Select Downloader. Once selected, you’ll see “On” on the tile.
  • Press the Home button to return to the home screen.

Return to Downloader.

A quick way to do this is to hold down the Alexa button on your remote (the microphone or the blue and white circle) and say “Alexa, open Downloader.” But you can also just choose it from your “Recently Used Apps” list.
