Using the Mobile App
Download the Airtel Thanks app.
The Airtel Thanks (formerly MyAirtel) app is available from the Google Play Store on Android phones, and the App Store on iPhone. Use the following steps to download the Airtel app.
- Open the Google Play Store on Android, or the App Store on iPhone.
- Tap Search (iPhone only).
- Enter “Airtel Thanks” in the search bar.
- Tap Install or GET next to the Airtel Thanks app.
Open the Airtel Thanks app.
It has a red icon with a white brush-stroke logo with “Airtel” in white letters below it. Tap the icon on your home screen or apps drawer to open the Airtel Thanks app.
Login to your Airtel account.
Use your mobile number and password to sign in to your Airtel account.
- If you do not have an account, you will be asked to enter your mobile number and fill out a form to create an account.
Check your balance.
The dashboard of the Airtel Thanks app displays your data balance, daily limit and number of days left in your current cycle.
Using USSD Codes
Open the phone app on your mobile device
It usually has a green icon that resembles an old phone. Tap the icon to open your phone app.
Dial *121# and press the call button.
Use the dial pad to dial the USSD code and press the green button to send the call. A selection menu will pop up.
- If you see an offer before the menu pops up, tap Ok to continue.
Enter 5 and tap Send.
5 is the menu option to check your balance. This displays more options to check your balance.
Enter 1 and tap Send.
This displays your data balance.
- Alternatively, you can enter “2” to check your daily data.
- To skip the menu, dial “*121*51#”
- Use the same code to check your balance on 2G, 3G, and 4G.
- To check your daily balance, dial “*125*1541#.
Using Prepaid Data On The Airtel Website
Go to http://www.airtel.in/ in a web browser.
You can use the Airtel website to check your data balance.
Click the icon that resembles a person.
It’s in the upper-right corner of the website. This opens the login page.
Login to your account.
Enter your mobile phone number or service ID, as well as your password. Then click the red button that says .
- If you have not registered yet, click on the Register option on the top of the page. You will be prompted to fill out personal information and to create a new password.
- If you forgot your Airtel password, click the link “Forgot password?” and follow the instructions.
Click the account you want to check.
If you have more than one data plan associated with your Airtel account, you can click the account you want to check in the sidebar to the left.
Check your data balance.
Your data balance is listed below “Account Overview”. Look for the box that says “Prepaid”. The amount of data you have left is listed in MB below the “Internet” header along with how many days you have left in your data plan.
Checking Your Broadband Data Usage

This is the website to check your Airtel broadband data usage.
Login to your account (if needed).
If you visit the website using your broadband internet connection, you do not need to log in. If you are visiting the website from a different connection, use the following steps to log in:
- Click the icon in the upper-right corner.
- Log in with your mobile number or service ID.
- Enter your password.
- Click Log In.
Click Broadband.

Check your data usage.
Your data usage is in the bar at the top of the page.
